Director’s Biography

John Eisemann

John Eisemann became Director of Choral Activities at Grant in 2012. A Grant alum himself, he was a member of the A Cappella Choir and the Royal Blues, graduating in 2006. John earned his Bachelor of Arts in 2010 from Knox College in Galesburg, IL, as Music Education double major and Honors in Orchestration. John also holds a Masters in Education from Concordia University, Portland, OR. In addition to his work with the choirs at Grant, he also works as part of the Student Activities Team. Professionally, John serves as the bass section leader of the Portland Symphonic Choir of which he has been a member of for six consecutive seasons. Outside of choir, John is an avid cyclist, amateur gourmet chef, and enjoys restoring his historic 1929 Northeast Portland bungalow with his wife, Jen, and cat, Rimsky.
