Royal Blues Work With Local Composer Garrett Bond

Last week, on September 26th, local composer Garrett Bond stopped by to work with the choir on his piece, Good Night, Dear Heart. The piece was composed for a late friend of his during his senior year in high school, roughly the same age as many of the students in the choir now. Although Garrett premiered the song in a TTBB arrangement while attending St. Olaf, he has never heard it sung in it’s original SATB version. This fall, the Royal Blues will be the first SATB choir to publicly perform Good Night, Dear Heart. Check out the rehearsal video below and be sure to hear the world premiere on Thursday, October 17th at the Grant Fall Choir Concert!
